Part 4. The Chained Dieter & Shopper 

She would have been on Rapid Detox because New Idea says the starlets use it; she has been to Curves for a 30-minute all-female circuit class; she feels proud of herself so she just has to buy the new winter wool caftan so that she can wear it during school pick-up this afternoon. After this she will go home, have a shower, bake muffins, shine the sink, make sure all the jars are facing the front, run to the supermarket to buy gluten-free pasta for her yeast- and lactose-intolerant children and a case of coke and a multi-pack box of artificially-flavoured crisps for them … because they just get so hungry after school and need to eat on the way to soccer, footy, cricket or was that ballet? She will rush home to prepare dinner whilst her new winter caftan has a stain from the smear of the bee sting bought for all the kids because they didn’t want crisps but cream today. She has dinner all done, kids trying to kill each other by asphyxiation and her husband will not be home for dinner again because he has a meeting with the new junior executive, who is blonde, 24 and doesn’t have hips. She knows he works hard so that she can buy shoes. She finally relaxes with a giant bar of Cadbury Fruit and Nut and the left over crisps and bee stings.

Both photos were taken with the #iphone4s in #adelaide . Base photo was edited in Snapseed using Vintage filters twice. Then the “music” texture was applied using Photoforge2. The top image was also edited in Snapseed using tilt-shift, centre focus, drama filter and black & white filters. In Pixrlomatic, Hagrid filter and Beep filters were applied as well as the frame. Both images were combined in Juxtaposer and the final image applied with Blue tone and Sheen texture in Picfx

Part 2: Tween Love Goes From Knob To Knob (2 -10 of Suburban Urban Series)

And that is teenage lurve for you. But then it’s a strange thing how some women never grow out of it and still manage to gravitate towards the knobs. 

In surburbia, it’s not all white picket fences with perfectly pruned rose bushes: for the most part, when you look at these ladies, once tweens, in their expensive lycra, their 4-wheel drives and their orderly homes, they’re wondering why there husbands have to play golf on a Friday arvo, even during winter with no light.
